If you want to stay in an apartment, check out any of the higher-end complexes, including centrally-located and stunning Porto Bello, beach-front Villas del Mar, or lagoon-facing Aventuras Club.
Spend a day at the Beach
Puerto Aventuras has a beautiful beach that spans from one end of town to the other. The easiest access point is either through the PA Beach Club for residents and hotel guests or through the public access pathway to the right of the PA Beach Club. All beachfront properties have direct access, including both homes and condominium complexes. The water is calm and near coral reef if you want to swim laps and snorkel on your own. The PA Beach Club also offers a beach bar with chairs on one end and a swim up pool on the other end. Their bar menu is also quite tasty: I highly recommend the arrachera steak nachos!
If you want a quieter beach experience, you can start walking to the right after passing the beach club, and it will be quieter. Ditch the bulky beach chair, and bring your lightweight comfortable Ola Bola instead!
